The Welding Engineering program at OBI Technical Training Centre is a specialized three-year diploma that trains students in the science, technology, and application of welding. The program covers essential areas such as materials science, welding metallurgy, fabrication techniques, inspection methods, and quality assurance standards. Students will learn manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding processes across multiple materials including steel, aluminum, and advanced alloys. Emphasis is placed on safety, standards compliance, blueprint reading, and non-destructive testing (NDT). Graduates are well-prepared for careers as welding engineers, fabrication supervisors, welding inspectors, quality control officers, and industrial welding consultants in manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, and heavy industries.
